"Welcome to ICPRRegistry.com". This is an official online registry owned and maintained by Indian Resuscitation Council Federation [IRCF]. IRCF can be reached on www.cprindia.in.
This online portal is a sincere attempt to collect data of Cardiac Arrest and Cardiopulmonary resuscitation in standardized format. We Invite Interested Clinicians, Institute Heads and Directors to come on board and contribute their institute data to create large INDIAN data on the subject. We, understand the sensitive nature of the health care data and therefore data is de-identified at source by the feeder institute itself.
Please write to us by submitting your query on the portal and the registry office will reach you to discuss more details.
As Cardiac arrest being high intensity low frequency event in any hospital, we need to pool the data from multiple centers before statistical significant observations can be made and which eventually serve us as a versatile platform for research."
- Everyone working in this field is feeling the dire need to have large scale database to enable nascent research to find solutions of problems unique to our country like negligible bystander CPR rates, lack of AED at public places, gender bias in resuscitation etc.
- For research we need data, for data we need uniform documentation and an web portal to facilitate pooling and analysis of data. IRCF webportal is one such user friendly web portal. Before uniform documentation can take place, practice has to be standardized and for which periodic training for BCLS and CCLS as well as its documentation during CPR has to take place in each center. Thus we intend not only to create a large cardiac arrest database, but bring likeminded clinicians under one umbrella, encourage to standardize training, treatment, documentation during cardiac arrests in participating centers as by product of the process of data compilation in IRCF registry.
- Thus just by participation in IRCF the member organization will be able to lift the standards of care and maintain at national and international standards. In a populous country like ours large data so created, will yield unforeseen trends and observations, which paves the way for research This ultimately, not only will improve our understanding of the science of CPR but also forms evidence base for Indian standards and future Indian guidelines.
- IRCF aims at
- To standardize the documentation of Cardio Pulmonary Resuscitation [CPR], during management of Out of Hospital Cardiac Arrest (OHCA) and In Hospital Cardiac Arrest(IHCA).
- To collect the data in IRCF registry is to generate an Indian database, for automated periodic analysis at local level (i.e.at hospital level), Regional level (i.e.at city or state level) and at National level.
- By participation, an institute will get Standardised CPR registry format and access to ICPRREGISTRY institute portal.
- Once data is collected and uploaded regularly on portal, the site representative can see and download, pre-anlysed ready to use tables, graphs and charts. He or She can use them for in house quality control or publish as single center data. Downloaded Graphs and tables can be used for presentations in local code-blue committee at periodic intervals.
- Due to its unique ability to analyse the data as per location [ OHCA OR IHCA], First rhythm and many other datapoints, one can interpret the institute data in various subsets. This has served to improve quality and outcome of CPR in the institute.
- This graphs can be downloaded in any data range and be used for comparisons, which can serve as platform for research at institute level.
- Name of one representative from each site will be added to contributors list of ICPRREGISTRY. Authorship privileges are granted as per IRCF rules for all the publications created from the registry database.
- Thus participation in icprregistry comes with a bunch of advantages at personal and institute level
- By contributing to registry, one is giving his best for creation of INDIAN CARDIAC ARREST DATABASE. This will pave the way for indigenous research which in turn be used not only for writing new INDIAN guidelines.
- Once a Contributor and have desire to do research from registry data base one qualifies to apply to office for same. This opens a new frontier for your life to establish as " RESUSCITATON SCIENTIST"
A medical Institute fulfilling following criteria can participate
- Institute is NABH accredited and have regular training of doctors and nurses in BCLS and CCLS. Records of training is maintained at the institute for any Audit.
- Institute is having predefined protocol for CPR (eg. Code Blue) as per Indian Guidelines for BCLS and CCLS standards and is executed under a predefined code system. Performance of the system is monitored in CPR committee meetings at periodic intervals.
- The participating institute must adopt icprregistry "Registry form" for CPR documentation. Regular and complete Documentation will not only standardise the documentation of CPR but enable uploading data by data manager with ease.
- Institute is ready to appoint one Healthcare professional as institute representative, who ensures regular data entry on IRCF portal. Cardiac Arrest and CPR data from all the department of the institute is uploaded by Institute data manager under supervision of Institute Representative. Selective data entry from only one or few departments is strictly prohibited.
- Institute will preserve all the forms so they can be used in future. These forms may be used for any audit to counter check the entries, should any discrepancy arise.
- Institute is willing to sign a Memorandum of Understanding [MOU] with IRCF Registry Office, for Regular sharing data for sole purpose of creating data base and allow it to be used for research.
- Details of MOU will be shared by office after application is reviewed by Registry committee of IRCF.
- Visit www.icprregistry.com, the webpage of IRCF registry.
- Fill the details and send us from the portal.
- We will contact you and guide you in the process.
- Once approved, a unique identification number for your hospital will be generated for login into the registry.
- Please look out this space for key updates in Cardiac Arrest and Cardiopulmonary Resuscitation siciences.
- We will post summary of notable recent articles here.
